Yoga Teacher Norwich

About Me

Hi, I'm Marie. I've been teaching yoga in Norwich since 2019 after completing my teacher training in India in 2018. Since then I have trained in multiple styles of yoga with fantastic teachers around the world, specialising in various forms of 'Vinyasa', as well as Yin yoga. I am currently a student of 'Embodied Flow' and 'Authentic Flow', which incorporate the teachings of 'Body-Mind Centering'.

In 2020 I embarked on my journey to become a Yoga Therapist, training with The Minded Institute in London. I graduated from the training at the end of January 23 and will qualify 'officially' at the end of April.

I have now spent over 1000 hours training and learning, and many more 'practicing', to share my own insights and learned knowledge of both the wisdom and science behind the healing practices of yoga. My aim is to share with you how it can support both your physical and mental health and help you to be 'happy, healthy, live with peace and ease, and be free from pain and suffering'.

Yoga Classes

My yoga classes are about guiding you to connect with your body and mind through 'embodied' movement, using the tools of somatics and vinyasa flow. I weave breath awareness and mindful reflections throughout classes to help bring you into an embodied awareness of self and to ground you in the here and now of your experience. My classes hold a tender space for you to return home to yourself, to your body, and aim to help you find your way back to a more grounded centre. I am passionate about educating people about the nervous system and using yoga practices to build resilience, as well as to support the body's innate capacity for healing through rest.

Yoga Therapy

As a Yoga Therapist, it is my passion to support people’s physical and mental health by sharing the tools that yoga can offer to facilitate health and healing in all layers of our being. I am particularly passionate about working with people to reduce pain and suffering, physical and mental. I work with individuals and groups that suffer from long-term health conditions, chronic pain, anxiety, depression and trauma - helping people to manage conditions and alleviate symptoms, as well as reducing further decline in their health. In some cases, this work supports full recovery, health and healing.
