Embodied Anatomy Workshop Series
PART 1: Saturday, 11 April '26 9:30am - 1:30pm
PART 2: Saturday, 2 May '26 9:30am - 1:30pm
Each workshop can be taken individually, though together they offer a richer, more integrated experience of the body as both form and living process.
Part 1: The Container
Anatomy as lived architecture; the structures that hold, support, and shape us.
• Bones • Muscles • Connective Tissue
This workshop explores the body’s more tangible, dense anatomical systems that give rise to shape and form and move us through space - the bones, muscles, and connective tissues that form our anatomical container.
Rather than approaching these systems as rigid or mechanical, we sense them as responsive, adaptable, and perceptive. Through guided somatic inquiry, we explore how structure emerges through relationship: with gravity, space, movement, and attention.
This workshop will explore:
A felt sense of inner support and organisation arising through an embodied understanding of relationships
Greater clarity and ease in movement from a structure that responds rather than resists
More trust in the body’s capacity to organise itself, supporting natural alignment in postures
Refined proprioceptive awareness, supporting clearer orientation and confidence as you move through space.
Part 2: The Contents
Listening to life in motion; moved by the rhythms within.
• Organs • Fluids • Cells
This workshop turns attention inward toward the living contents of the body - the organs, fluids, and cellular systems that animate, regulate, and sustain us.
Through subtle movement, imagery, and somatic listening, we explore anatomy as a natural process of life moving through us rather than simply structure. We attune our awareness to the inner rhythms and tides within that shape movement and create motion, giving rise to form.
As attention shifts to these subtler systems, we can experience a softening of effort, a deepening of presence, and a sense of being moved from within rather than directing from the outside.
This workshop will explore:
Subtle awareness of innate internal rhythms that give rise to our experience of breath & movement - both as poetry and as the fundamental expression of life
• How attuning to these inner processes supports nervous system regulation, resilience, and adaptability
• Movement that arises organically from depth, surfacing to support and sustain the container in a buoyant, responsive, and living form
